Coffee Bliss Balls

These balls will give you a gentle coffee kick or sub in decaf if caffeine isn’t for you.

Healthy fats and naturally sweetened - a few of these could stand in for your regular cuppa?

Ingredients

2 TBSP finely ground organic coffee

3/4 cup of activated cashews

1/2 cup activated walnuts

40g of cashew butter (or 1/2 cup activated cashews) or nut butter to your liking

40ml organic maple syrup

1 tsp organic vanilla

5 medjool dates (pitted) or dried fruit of your choice

1/3 cup of organic flaxseed (*freshly ground)

1.5 TBSP organic cacao powder, + extra for rolling

Directions

Grind up your flaxseeds then place all ingredients in your food processor or blender and pulse until the mixture come together to form a ball. Take approx 1 TBSP and roll into 2.5cm balls. Dust each ball in cacao powder and pop in the fridge to set for 15 minutes. These will keep in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and in your freezer for a couple of months - if you can resist β˜•οΈ

Options:

πŸƒ Sub in carob for the cacao and

πŸƒ Add essential oils to your taste

πŸƒ Add spices that your drawn to … cardamon is my favourite with coffee

πŸƒ Roll in scrumptious coconut and enjoy.

*Don’t make the shortcut mistake I did in skipping the grounding of the flaxseed, as left whole the flaxseeds make the balls crumbly and hard to fully chew. Grind them up fresh as the first step in your recipe
